北京自21日暴雨，有人在車里被淹死後，微博便開始流傳，只要拔下車輛前排座位的頭枕，把車窗砸碎就能逃生的說法。日前，有大陸記者以身試法，結果車窗紋絲不動。日本一個防災節目則示範了正確做法，就是將頭枕的尖端，插進側窗窗角玻璃縫隙中，用拳頭向下砸，讓鋼柱大部份插進去，再抱著頭枕向懷裡一壓，玻璃瞬間碎裂，即使柔弱女性也能做到。
