As the title said...
Let's get some activities or something going here, it is too slow.

How about: why choose 北大特區 as your house?

I need to write a book about that.
Haha.... me too! So many good things here to talk about it!
Or we can talk about where everyone is from?
and how long did you stay abroad?
My husband and I were in Vancouver,
moving back @ 2006 because he had
a calling from God to come back and serve the Catholics in Taiwan.
At the same time, his business is booming in Asia,
so after we got married we've been looking for an ideal place to stay,
and so far Sanxia seems to fit everything we look for
except for the price right now X-D
Welcome evelys join our family!
Please feel free to ask any questions here and Sanxia is a good place to stay!
Maybe we can talk about what's unique about this group. We had all lived in North America and got to know their people and culture. Maybe we can discuss what are the good things we learned that could be promoted here in 北大特區.
For examples,
- Potluck seems foreign here and yet it is a very good way to meet people from different places.
- Host family program for foreign students. I am sure a lot of us had benefited from host family while we first arrived America.
- Street cleaning day. We could select a day and ask each community to adopt several streets and pick up all the garbage on that day.
Well, just my 2 cents .....
BasePX,
Glad to know that you have the same thoughts ...
Personally I don't know how to get it started neither.
Well, at least, this forum is a good place to do a brainstorming as a starting point.
We could get together later on and follow up with more concrete discussions ....
Maybe we'll bump into each other in the US ...
I am going there on Oct. 8th and coming back early November.
Let's do e-conversation in the mean time ....
My goodness, this is a small world!!!
I'll be in LA for about one week, and then Houston from Oct. 18 to 22 attending my son's wedding there.
And then back to Portland Oregon for a week before coming back to Taiwan on Nov. 2nd.
Do you have a Houston phone number that I can call once I'm in the states?
