六十年前，美國著名男高音 Mario Lanza 演了一部有關歌劇之王 Enrico Caruso (卡羅素) 的傳記電影 The Great Caruso，其中有一個場景，演出卡羅素在錄音室錄製二十世紀初知名古典小品 Parce que 的英譯版本 Because。大家可以看看當時錄製唱片的過程。

Parce que 一曲，出自 1902 年的法國女作曲家 Guy d'Hardelot，Enrico Caruso 錄製這首曲子時，其實並沒有這麼受歡迎，真正讓這首歌發光的，是情歌王子 Perry Como 在 1948 年翻唱的英文版本。Mario Lanza 的版本當然是好得沒話說，欣賞 Mario Lanza 在電影中的演出也是一種享受，人說「認真的女人最美」，認真的男人，不也是充滿魅力?

看看外貌英俊、瀟灑，歌聲輕柔、優雅的 Como，當年是靠什麼魅力征服萬千歌迷的。他應該是 Parce que 英文版的原唱者，可惜我沒有他 1948 年第一版的黑膠唱片。
