四連棟，是金瓜石地區保存最良好且完整的日式宿舍。 g" ~6 n% P' h( U9 w& _
據推測四連棟應為1930年代由日本?業株式會社所興建，提供當時的日籍職員及其眷屬居住。到了國民政府時期，則改為臺金公司的員工宿舍。四連棟為四戶相連，每戶都有各自的玄關、客廳、起居室、廚房、浴室、廁所等設備，前後也有小型花園。順應著坡地高低差構築出具有高低層次的建築，基座外觀的人字砌駁崁、紅磚與黑瓦構成金瓜石山城獨特的地景特色。" l2 v# n' i% f
如今內部分別陳列了日治時期與臺金時期居住於此的員工生活樣貌，各式各樣細心考究的屋內擺設與生活物件，從客廳到臥房、從廚房到廊道，讓人不由得放慢腳步，在日式木頭地板上緩步輕移，細細品味藏在每個角落裡、靜待來客發掘的美好往日時光。 , F$ K5 w5 h4 w0 J$ ~" m7 v% i

The existing space has been turned into a display and living art experience space. The building is an important witness to Jinguashih’s past. The building has a delicate wooden structure and layered wall boards adapted to suit the rainy conditions.
