SHIPPING MY CAR FROM US

3 F7 b; `) ^) Q" K( qSome members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.

Here is my two-cents:

One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

不知道您有評估過運車回來台灣的經濟效益嗎??

: l* _6 C$ b0 X/ ~4 a除了運費跟關稅外 據說比較麻煩的是ARTC驗車

; \# V) l& {0 E6 |# g人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣

  p6 ]' i* \+ ]& T  z然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

自美東小型車運費要US$3000, 還得加上關稅和國內種種費用.  海運公司和很多朋友都說划不來, 除非是車子價值超過US$60,000.

/ k! j; e/ U; n- w7 ?. }# [The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.
