在夢中﹐我和主正在沙灘上同行。 這時天空浮現了我一生所渡過的光景﹐ 當每一幕景出現時﹐我都看到沙灘上有兩行腳印﹐一行是我的﹐一行是主的。 & Y" c, _) Y$ s" j, P/ _1 Y2 d2 t' {5 s+ |
當人生的最後一幕出現在我眼前時﹐我回顧沙灘上的腳印﹐ 我赫然發現在我人生中有許多時刻﹐ 沙灘上竟只有一行腳印﹐ 而那正是我最低潮﹑最哀傷的時刻。 0 @1 i6 ?7 c0 N$ F/ m& u 7 R7 \ J5 Z% q h& w8 Q我問主說：「主啊﹐當我決定跟隨你的時候﹐ 你不是應許我﹐你要一路與我同行嗎﹖可是我發現﹐在我人生最難過的時刻﹐ 沙灘上竟然只有一行腳印。 我不明白﹐為何在我最需要你的時候﹐ 你竟會離我遠去﹖」 ) [4 _3 `0 A, V, ] % x4 e( M. s: J; Z, n8 k4 c主回答我說：「我親愛的孩子﹐ 在你受試煉的時刻﹐我從未離開過你﹐ 你是所看見的那一行腳印﹐ 正是我抱著你走過。」 # w$ I, e' d! d0 A2 S7 X1 Z) M) ?% u1 `& z! K* z
One night a man had a dream.% O/ J2 Z; u$ X$ y0 m/ _+ L' F

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.. [/ X9 u* U. u5 L5 l( ]

N/ \; Z3 v( YWhen the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. he noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.& I( I, h& G4 N% O

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that at the worst times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. How could you leave me when I needed you the most?"+ V- p. g4 J( J
0 p5 Z6 Q! S7 w6 W/ o9 SThe Lord replied " My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of suffering and when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried7 W! G$ G( E! d. I+ @8 c
you."
