Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is my two-cents:

K% b  S2 W* `One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

+ r: U, `- Q: T! e* f- GHere is a factory shot (borrowed from the HONDA website) of a S2000 CR I have.

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人- i/ `6 d! z6 {! R' n

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣

' J" i0 g# u2 q4 h% a: l台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價) o4 t: U+ B4 R
6 n( b1 w8 L9 y. Q' _# G; B
然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

' t6 g) V& m2 Z5 X9 U/ SThe fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.
