' y, L' U8 H9 o/ ?Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.

Here is my two-cents:

One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商

4 w( ]/ L* m) A4 Y! w1 Q2 }/ c% l引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人. r, J) W  [. l& l: P1 l% i

: P8 r7 g, P8 N: s" m& R人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 3 x/ ]# ?% F0 h& ]% M+ N

* t8 l, R+ M6 m9 x台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價) Q, k* g6 W2 _: X% Y6 y8 ^& P& v

/ t9 F3 W1 B6 h# d( K  A' V然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.
% q  e, i  d% C9 w. D, V9 V8 d) _
