Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

. t, D, Z% j( Q% R: @  s  n+ }One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.) K: A' o+ v5 ]( y; {0 L

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人" g7 `! l0 [0 ^

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 2 z8 F) F, a4 C' t& d  W: Q9 }

/ V) f3 l" E$ G% t台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價
  }/ c: B( N( Z  j6 U  N8 n* O- J4 Q2 H( n8 ^2 V( l1 `' E
然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.
$ E& X$ G/ s4 c! `7 O: Z4 p& g0 y& j* n: {. F: T& G% Q4 i) D& T) e
My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.

: H1 {* O1 [3 \If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.
