# s' g2 P9 m; x3 V. z7 kSome members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.* ~+ A6 M  e1 x

) k' \) W2 L# c* h8 \6 M8 C, aOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

除了運費跟關稅外 據說比較麻煩的是ARTC驗車

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 * y" Q  P  |* k% P2 u! V- p* l
' j* |7 V) E% ~
台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價

然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.
) G9 s3 R# h! a$ H. w2 k5 h! a$ R2 i  s) O
My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.
