Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

. _* i$ G" o& q+ LOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars." H3 R1 D5 f, `3 u9 d% A

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人" B8 v7 A8 v& [7 N; O

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 . M: K! ^( |6 ~, _1 o& c) f
% Z  j1 K  T( R9 c# E
台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價
$ j) L. p+ e, p6 }& ^# H' L7 r, M( n7 V7 j, L4 Y, M% }) }1 G
然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.( w: Z; E0 w' M8 b8 g. g4 W

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.. b) {1 c# R. _, N# d! `" v  r! m
+ \1 Y5 d8 B( O0 \* q8 h
My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.

If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.

Total Production of the 2008 S2000 CR was limited, but those lucky enough to get one will join an exclusive club: The CR was available only in the U.S.# d& ?) a+ P$ Q' {' N
