Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't., r, |  y1 }& }4 J$ Z

One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.4 s* {2 f# E# t( H

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣
' ?7 E# F+ w( W7 V6 W
; N, J# M  g1 q- i7 O4 t台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價
/ ^4 j1 z/ I& a" G* I. s% Y. ^
  ?7 O/ q! V6 ^6 F' t然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.* G& N$ ^# q# j1 V% q0 Q

My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車. + Q; Z+ \; y" U; K) }, X

0 f) E& A; h% K- {& U2 GIf I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.
