Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.

Here is my two-cents:

One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

除了運費跟關稅外 據說比較麻煩的是ARTC驗車

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商' S/ P8 P& p3 z2 H

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣

5 o7 i* I' G) E台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價

然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.+ r. g4 |6 t2 @8 Y; K! }" A

My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車. 7 [, D# U. G7 P# l9 c& P( k
