Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.0 ~# k8 `: y- i8 ^

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.

One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人& P; v2 `3 ?& u- Y% B

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 , ?! R. T+ g) z
0 A- ^6 W" u; w. H4 G# s5 K
台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價
$ v9 s- ?9 |  r# ]
# h4 O  ]0 D) C5 X9 r5 F! j然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.

" C, _( V4 p' b0 h- kMy total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.

If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.
