Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.2 q- k" k% H+ s

/ C4 M* L: |0 U' HOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.4 S5 }1 X" H4 [. Q$ J

除了運費跟關稅外 據說比較麻煩的是ARTC驗車

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商5 e, [/ w! A9 g& u

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人' s: A0 _% M- m; i6 K5 y

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 6 o. B6 V" U/ C. V7 t* k- r

台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價. `9 g' T6 N7 q( c
( K7 F! T& C0 E: q
然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

+ g; v) r5 D/ X6 Q9 X0 AThe fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

, m; I/ o# q" s: V; W. w" AMy total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.

If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.
