! Z8 q: Q3 d( ]( Z1 U" ySome members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.8 ^2 `4 @2 g! K5 ?

Here is my two-cents:

! u  `1 [/ W* {" M  mOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人

) H9 q7 y3 P. B- k+ v. z; X人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 * J: @; V' N2 v8 Q5 }3 o
* s  @4 A& l; J$ E0 y: f9 Y% F
台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價
) Q8 D( D( z) [* L9 Z( P+ o/ {9 P5 w( k. G% j$ B8 R3 D1 c
然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.

- l; R3 m+ y& IMy total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車. ) x. V  j: d& d6 x8 w: _; @

If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.
