  {( ], Q5 x* b/ c8 WSome members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

X! wOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.. v# h% P6 y9 Z3 C, o5 u6 k

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 " {4 W( L, o$ [  }9 p4 D* I' S0 r

+ _& i  Z: _: i9 e& u1 M6 i6 M台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價' |/ ]! o, z0 [7 Z

5 e8 k% L+ d' C4 s然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

* L9 q/ I+ J5 d5 n3 dThe fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.

My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.

If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.

Total Production of the 2008 S2000 CR was limited, but those lucky enough to get one will join an exclusive club: The CR was available only in the U.S.
