Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is my two-cents:

1 n: ]* W, K6 I3 l5 y/ sOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

% r5 T' E' ]" c6 E$ r, t5 ZHere is a factory shot (borrowed from the HONDA website) of a S2000 CR I have.

& q4 R! D1 `) w  K+ w- n1 K0 L. h人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣
) V) `* b) `% K; J% W0 f6 H. I: {" o4 @9 ^. n6 Z1 k! c
台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價
5 U' J3 V3 k3 j; H$ m3 ?8 q: ^2 S; I/ a/ K) m
然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.

: R3 ?) t1 V1 p, d; o5 ?0 BMy total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.

If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.$ ~$ y0 ~1 R& E) V1 f$ u0 w! Y
