Some members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

0 i3 f5 s, u1 u9 m3 P) @2 f6 B, MOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.1 B: H$ D5 z4 W! r9 Y

1 ^2 o: i% Y5 W8 DHere is a factory shot (borrowed from the HONDA website) of a S2000 CR I have.

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商; D6 \( p0 @! Q) W$ `# e

! g( d& P" V; n: {1 o* T" G引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人% C  p% w0 v6 G* i8 ]0 \) L8 P

  [+ ^9 X& p& _. D5 x1 E# u人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 7 W( N! K/ a/ C% D

. J. P6 Q  c& M* ?台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價4 }) ?9 o0 Z8 Q% S

1 X( ?" W) p( {5 Q% Z: w+ {9 O* r然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

3 W% X" A+ s$ C自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.  ^, m3 i8 c' V! y1 ]6 i7 O

% ^1 |3 x: b/ `  e. ~" WMy total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車. 4 R" d2 e9 [! L  D
; A9 Q- u4 r3 x5 w# B. l
If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.
