4 z' z: I- D: o* J% [+ bSome members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.

- r% O+ ~5 P$ T: rOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.! H. P& _. L& K+ @/ ?( S) z

除了運費跟關稅外 據說比較麻煩的是ARTC驗車

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人$ v6 b' R' I9 |7 g3 c8 D& [

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 6 P" A7 U, b% }' E  ?2 F

$ R  P  @5 g- G6 \. W0 U) d台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價$ L3 l, g) u5 E8 Z

  C+ \9 o$ f9 ^9 O( B+ i+ H然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.. m2 f6 r  P4 l7 l* G+ H

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.

My total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車.
