. ~6 K! g+ Y0 o; L+ sSome members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.  z; H  C$ O  g% J

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.

Here is my two-cents:

2 o' c* M; c7 [% @, GOne important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

除了運費跟關稅外 據說比較麻煩的是ARTC驗車: h! v) i) A+ _8 b

- {* W8 O; r( f% L" M在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣

" y# q$ C$ h- F* f8 O8 y$ _台灣用進口關稅保護國產車 反而變成國產車賣進口價

然後配備又不齊全 只能說在台灣買車就像是待宰的肥羊啊...

The fair market value of a low mileage (2008, 2,500 miles) all original, like-new S2000 CR (which is a collector's model, HONDA had the CR only in 2008) is estimated at NT1,800,000. (its US blue-book value is around US$30,000). There are other factors as well.

If I sold the car for US$50,000, not saying I would or the price will be so low, I still be in the positive side.
