6 x5 g* A/ \8 g' J) W( R6 nSome members were asking information about shipping his/her own car back to Taiwan from the US, I thought I start a new thread here for everyone to share their valuable info on the How-To, and Do-Don't.

Here is a link: http://car2tw.com/ It is a commercial website, but I still post it because they do offer a lot of useful information, I personally did not pick them to ship my cars, yet.

One important note, some shipper will not allow household items in the shipping container with your vehicle, I am waiting for a quote from 松福, they will allow household items in the container with the car, that saves a lot on shipping costs. I am shipping back two (2) Honda S2000s, I am the original owner on both cars.

除了運費跟關稅外 據說比較麻煩的是ARTC驗車( H! F' L/ \; M# Y7 r

在這裡不免要抱怨一下台灣的車商4 _4 P2 }! C  |- G; z! W* @

引進的款少就算了 價格又高得嚇死人* ^  j) B) d5 S0 w1 `$ Y3 v

人家歐美日所得是我們的好幾倍 車價卻比不上我們台灣 ! g  A9 k' h+ l7 M3 m0 \6 a

自Houston小型車運費要US$2,500, 還得加上關稅US$3,500和國內種種費用US$8,000, total cost is estimated at US$16,000 after factors in other possible variable costs.

2 m  z' U; C9 V  G" rMy total cost, therefore, is estimated at US$46,000 on the road in Taiwan. There are other S2000 in Taiwan, so there will not be a lot problems in passing the ARTC 驗車. 3 s& c* w+ Z  c: O/ c5 b5 Y) V
