帶小孩來一起來玩益智桌上遊戲吧！
Come join us for Center Time!

每週會有不同款益智遊戲, 主題也會換, 像是有數學學習遊戲, 時間教具, 黏土活動, 分類配對, 等等
This group is once a week, each time focusing on a certain skill. The skill can be theme-based (styrofoam, clay, crayons, glue, puzzles, stickers, activity books), subject-based (counting or sorting, telling time, or patterning), or skill-based (matching, tracing, coloring, lacing, or tying).

不好意思!也許是我的語文程度太差,為何總覺得這句話不對勁呢?
come 和 join 都是動詞,何以能連結使用?第二個動詞不是應該
用不定詞或動名詞出現的嗎?謝謝

Your questions are always welcome! There are certain infinitives that can follow verbs without the need for "to" before it. "Come" is one of those. Here are other examples.

Please help me carry my luggage.
The father made his baby cry.
We need to go buy a new car.

從您的舉例來看，應該解釋為help和make是使役動詞，
因此其後接的動詞，省略to，此類動詞還有have和let，
例如：My father has me wash the car.
My mom lets me go outside. 之類的，
而help雖然視為是使役動詞，但其後省略to或不省略to皆可，也就是說 I help my sister (to) do her homework.

您的最後一個例子
We need to go buy a new car. 應該解釋為口語用法
Come join us. 也一樣是口語用法
口語用法就是外國人講話時會用，但以台灣的教育環境來說，口語用法在升學考試是不被准許的。

老師雖會說跟打一些中文
但那些台灣的文法名詞我不知道她看不看得懂

台灣現在的英文課口語越來越多啦~
家中一連三年有上大學的考生看他們的學習內容
好像不會像以前的老師或課本要多補充一句
"考試要這樣....""講話要這樣...."
一句話要記好幾種用法

任職外商13年,成天和老外混在一起,即使是colloquial(口語),也不記得曾聽聞此種說法.
come and go 好像也不是使役動詞(let, have, make......).

Yeah, I understand them. I taught grammar for many many years to adults at Global Village using their "English" Chinese book.

Global Village is where I learned a lot of my Chinese adjectives and nouns and also Chinese characters. Every time I said something, my adult students would translate them in Chinese for me because my Chinese was really weak back then.

Go buy and come join are not informal English. It's real English. If you look in any English academic textbook, real American English or British English grammar books, there is a lesson on these special infinitives. I would recommend looking at Pearson, Scholastic, or other big publishers. I love grammar and I love answering questions on grammar. So, message me anytime.

還是找不到文法中有所謂的"Special infinitives",真是傷腦筋.
比較可以確定的是,come join與 go buy可以用,但仍屬於口語範疇.
繼續努力,如果外國文法書中,確實有此一章節專論"Special infinitives",
也算是新知識,收穫匪淺.

我怕你的學生翻譯萬一有些些誤差

我英文很爛想不到我會在這裡討論英文

記得之前在美國打發時間去社區大學上英文課時
老師提出的省略 to的狀況
除了其他網友提出的使役動詞(像let make have)外
還有很多特殊動詞(special verb)或特例後方即使省略to 依然是不定詞(infinitive)
像feel see watch  hear help bid  why (not).....
(腦筋開始空白  可見全還給老師了....)

我不知道你跟其他網友的討論在文法名稱上或對informal的等級定義是否相同
就像nope  yep在美國大家都講  看報紙也會這樣用
文章寫了大家也都懂    考試這樣寫也沒事
但在台灣我們會被要求不要這樣寫
就像美國老師會希望學生不要寫see ya 但大家都常這樣講

因為我英文太爛無法翻譯不知道會不會把你搞得更混亂

The links you provided didn't really talk about the issue we're discussing. The English one was about regular gerunds vs. regular infinitives.  The Chinese one was a personal opinion of several assumptions about the uses of come, go, let, etc.

In American textbooks, you'll find that most "verb + verb" patterns fall under a command.  In grammar terms, it's called imperative sentences.  Here are some examples of imperatives:

Go find your mother.
Come wait for your turn.
Let him go now.
Make her stop moving.

There are other "verb + verb" patterns with the infinitive being used as adjectives, therefore, omitting the "to":

I saw Pamela fall on her face.
Stanley noticed her cry.
We witnessed the bus run over the man.
He feels his stomach turn.
Rob heard the dog bark.

In "Chinese" English grammar books, the above rule would probably be explained with state-of-being verbs, verbs that don't have actions, like feel, taste, etc.  But that would not be true.  If you look at the five sentences above, four are action verbs, and only one is a state-of-being verb.

If they appear in textbooks, they are not "colloquial" or "informal".  They are an authentic part of the English language.  In grammar books, they still fall under the chapter of infinitives.  There is no such thing as "special infinitives" or "special verbs."  What I meant by special infinitives, unquoted, was that these infinitives have special usages just like those mentioned above.

There are tons of resources on the internet if you want to go deeper into verbals, such as infinitives, gerunds, and participles.  I would love to teach a grammar class in Bei Da and let those willing students know that learning English grammar is actually quite fun.

we can learn more new rules ,specifically the chapter regarding either "special infinitives" or "infinitives
have special usages" you mentioned.

V+ing是動名詞 (gerund),To+V 是不定詞(infiniive),二者都不是動詞(verb).

go ,come雖為特殊動詞,但是和妳所舉的使役動詞或者感官動詞例子是不同的.

語文不是科學,無須斤斤計較,所以即使有文法規範,口頭上可以隨便講,只要對方能聽懂就好.

但學問就是要講求真理,如果確有文法教材寫出V+V pattern的章節,學者就又依據以資運用.

網路上的確有"成噸"(tons of)文法教學網站,我反正已經退休,每天查找100個,總要探究個水落石出.

二、seek的用法

答: 直接有受詞時就是及物動詞用法; 要加介系詞才接受詞時則是不及物動詞用法.

2. These missiles are designed to seek out and destroy enemy bombers.(字典例句)
seek後面有介系詞 out，為什麼字典還把它歸在及物動詞這一類？
答: 這個out是副詞而非介系詞, 是修飾用字, 所以seek是及物動詞.
